Have You Hit a Fitness or Weight loss Plateau? Few Things You Might Want to Try

Written by Ann Winters

You’ve been busting your hump in the gym 5 days per week, eating pretty healthy. You were seeing major results, and all of the sudden the gains have leveled off, or the fat loss has come to a halt. Does this sound familiar? Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us and there’s quite a few things you can do that will get you moving forward towards your goal again.

It May Be Time to up your Game

If you’ve basically been doing the same workout routine for a few months now and noticed that you’re not quite feeling the burn, seeing the results like you did at first, or even feeling the intensity, it may be time to switch it up a bit.

Our bodies become accustomed to the same routines pretty quickly. We gain strength and adapt much faster than you might think. For instance, if you started out running 1 mile per day, sweating up a storm, and dropping fat like there’s no tomorrow, but it has leveled off since then, that’s the body adapting. You need to step it up a notch. Go further in your distance, try to increase your speed, whatever you have to do to challenge yourself once again.

The same goes for weight lifting, you can’t stick with 40 lb curls for months on end and expect to see the same progress as you did when you first started. Increase the weight and make it challenging. Challenge makes change.

A Few Beneficial Supplements

There are many safe and effective supplements on the market that could benefit you greatly in your fitness journey. Here’s a few you might want to add to your routine:

  • Protein Shakes- Protein is the building block of the body. Protein is found in every cell in our bodies and is needed for many processes including building muscle. Make sure you are getting enough protein. You can drink a protein shake before and after your workout. This will prevent muscle waste during your workout and aid in recovery, repair, and building muscle afterwards. People who follow a diet higher in protein are typically leaner than those who do not.
  • NiacinMax- NiacinMax is pure niacin, the only difference between it and your average niacin is that it’s taken sublingually. NiacinMax is a thin strip that contains 75 mg of niacin and melts almost instantly when placed under the tongue. This delivery method is far superior to taking a pill because it skips digestion all together and goes straight to the blood stream. Niacin has many benefits from fat loss to muscle gain. There are plenty of scientific studies to back it up too. NiacinMax promotes the body’s natural production of HGH (Human Growth Hormone), which is released by the pituitary gland. This hormone plays a pretty big role in muscle gain, fat reduction and many other processes. NiacinMax also boosts energy levels and promotes better circulation and increases blood flow in the body.
  • BCAA’s- BCAA’s or, branched chain amino acids. They contain 3 of the 9 essential amino acids which our body’s cannot produce on their own and need to be provided by the foods that we eat or by supplementation. BCAA’s promote protein synthesis and prevent muscle breakdown. They also reduce muscle soreness.

Keep your workouts challenging and your supplementation simple. Stick to things that are proven to work like NiacinMax, protein, and other tried and true supplements and you’ll be breaking through that plateau in no time at all.
